Job Description: 

Utility Route Driver:
You would be delivering auto parts to auto dealerships along a pre-established route.  As a utility driver you would be filling in on open delivery routes nightly.  An average route is 300 total miles with 10-12 stops.  All of our trailers have lift-gates to assist in the delivery of freight.  Your duties will include accurately off-loading freight at each dealership along your route, making on-time deliveries, and accurately completing paperwork.

 

Hours/Schedule:

This position is an evening position.  Typical start times are between 11pm and 1am.  An average route takes about nine hours to complete.  Your typical work week is Mon - Fri or Tue – Sat. 

Pay:

As a DLI driver you pay will be based on the route you are on.  Our routes pay three different ways.  You will either receive pay based on a mileage and stop rate, a daily flat rate assigned to the route, or an hourly rate.

 

Starting Pay:

.34 cpm and $5 per stop, or $16 per hour, or a flat rate as assigned to the route.  Pay will vary depending on position.

Minimum Requirements:

-Have a Class A CDL

-At least 1 year tractor/trailer driving experience

-Age 21 or older

-No preventable accidents in the last 2 years, and no DOT recordable/preventable accidents in the last 5 years

-No DUI/DWI, Careless/Reckless driving citations or revoked/suspended license in the past 5 years

-No more than 3 moving within the past 3 years

-Criminal Background Check Required

-Able to pass a complete DOT physical, drug screen and road test

-Able to lift up to 75 pounds

-Good customer service skills
